Based in Oakland, CA Loren Newman is a graphic designer, illustrator and the founder of Lolatti Designs. She has experience supporting nonprofits and foundations with branding, illustration, and design systems that make complex work accessible and resonant.
Loren brings a deep commitment to birth justice and Black maternal health to her work. She has partnered with organizations advancing reproductive and birth equity, creating visuals that reflect the values and lived experiences of the communities they serve. Her approach is informed by her experience as a mother and grounded in care, representation, and usability.
Her clients include Expecting Justice, RWJF, Lumina Foundation, the Children’s Defense Fund, and the Michigan Justice Fund. Loren is known for her ability to listen closely, translate strategy into design, and create visual systems that are both cohesive and practical in use.
